I highly recommend the Newport H2's for walking

"I have worn Keen Newport H2 sandals on 2 Camino de Santiago's now (2024 and 2025), walking around 1,000km each time. No other shoes, no socks, just the Newports. I have to say, I cannot recommend these highly enough. So comfy for hiking (the EVA footbed is so plush yet provides excellent support), on the first Camino I got a few blisters, my second Camino not a single blister. Apart from the comfort (I describe them now as my magic shoes), I love being able to walk through rivers, rain no problem, no smelly socks or stinking hiking shoes in the albergues at the end of the day. There are a lot of negative myths about hiking in sandals, try these!"
