Somewhat disappointing
"I have always been happy with my Keen shoes. I like the Targhee but they can be a bit heavy for everyday trail walking, so I decided to try these. The heel is wide and I've had a hard time trying to tighten it and get used to it. Generally I feel my feet are swimming a bit in them (ironic given my further comments). Went out walking in a mix of very light to moderately heavy rain for less than 2hrs last weekend - went through some puddles but nothing deep. My feet were wet by end - not sweat but wet. I've had them less than 2 months and these were to be my winter shoes. Really I don't know why they even have Targhee in the name as nothing like them. My NXIS have held up pretty well (apart from wearing through inside heel padding) but sadly looks like these are discontinued. Disappointed in these when you consider the price paid. I wish more companies used a last that actually was designed for women rather than scaled down from mens. We tend to have a flatter, wider forefoot and a narrower heel than guys, whose feet are longer and skinnier. One study revealed women’s shoes are 70% tighter in the forefoot than men's! So just widening the whole shoe doesn't work well."
