"I love these shoes, my fifth pair. I just wish the laces would stay tied…"
"First of all, these shoes are not just the lower cut boots. I usually wear a size 7 in the boots but had to order a size 6.5 in these shoes. The shoes dont have the little hooks which keep the laces taut and they loosen up as you are walking. I have narrow ankles, so unless I put on really thick socks my ankles slide up and down in the shoe. Never had that problem with the boots. The insoles are not very padded and are very thin. I had to replace the insoles. These shoes feel better than the Merrills I ordered. I like the big toe box and they are more substantial than the Merrill hikers I bought. I dont feel like Im walking on concrete. I hope these dont delaminate after a year like my last two pairs of boots did. If so, these will be the last I buy. I am a 64 yr old woman, I walk at least 3 miles a day, and hike regularly. Your mileage and feet may vary!"
"i used these shoes in iceland and they gave me the confidence to walk through every trail in iceland. however, the two ends that wrap around my ankles really dug into my skin. unless i wore thick socks, they left ugly marks on my skin and im not sure why"
"Seems like Keen has opened up the toe box again on their Targhee shoes, yay! Ive been waffling between a size 9 1/2 and size 10 in Keens these days, but in this shoe I took a 9 1/2. Its functional. But I really wish Keen would hire someone new to do the colorways for their womens hiking shoes, because the colors are hideous."
"Ordered my usual size but it was too large. Had to size down a half size. A bit more narrow than the previous Targhee models. I could give 5 stars if wider."
"this is my fourth Targhee and the IV version is too big by far and the sole too stiff. i have the II version reordered and returned these. The Targhee is a great shoe but the IV is not for me."
"This is a much more comfortable shoe compared to the Targhee III. Some reviewers thought it runs big but I found it to be true to size in the length and just a tad wider. I only wish that Keen had darker color choices for women. My hikers get dirty!! I will be buying another pair."
"I really wanted to love this shoe, but unlike the old targhee II that I have worn for years and years, my heels slip in these no matter how much I tighten them. I was told it was the same fit but alas, not on my feet."
"Initial thoughts: much wider than previous models with better arch support. I have only worn them around the house a bit so time will tell on durability and comfort while walking long distances. The wider toebox is an awesome upgrade for someone with wide feet. Thank you Keen! I've always loved the womens colors but was forced to buy a mens model in order to get a wide enough shoe. They seem true to size for me in length. The fact that the width fits me well likely means they run wide. I would probably size down 1/2 size if you don't have wide feet or plan to use an insert. The rose color is gorgeous in person! Exactly like stock photos."
"I love them. I got them for my hunting trip in September!"
